To access your email using an email client (e.g. MS Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, etc), please ensure that your client is configured:
Incoming Mail
- Server Type: POP3
- Server Name: pop.simpur.net.bn
- Server Port: 110
- Account Name: Your email ID
Outgoing Mail
- Server Type: SMTP
- Server Name: smtp.simpur.net.bn
- Server Port: 25
- Authentication: Server requires authentication
To access your email using Outlook Express..
1. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.
2. Click the Mail tab.
3. Select your email account from the list.
4. Click the Properties button.
5. Click on the Servers tab.
6. Under Server Information, make sure that:
- My incoming mail server is a [POP3] server.
- Incoming mail (POP3): pop.simpur.net.bn
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.simpur.net.bn
7. Under Incoming Mail Server
- Account name: Your email ID only
- In the Password field, type in your Password.
- Check the 'Remember Password' box if you'd like your password to be saved.
8. Under Outgoing Mail Server, check the 'My Server requires authentication' box.
- Click the Settings button.
- Select Log on using.
- In the Account name field, type your Email ID.
- In the Password field, type in your Password.
- Check the 'Remember Password' box if you'd like your password to be saved.
- Click the OK button.
To access your email using Thunderbird..
1. From the Tools menu, choose Account Settings.
2. Click the Add Account, choose Email Account, then click Next.
3. Add your Name and Simpur Email Address, then click Next.
4. Choose POP, and set Incoming Mail Server as pop.simpur.net.bn, then click Next.
5. Incoming and Outgoing User Name is filled in automatically, proceed by clicking Next.
6. Account Name is filled in automatically, proceed by clicking Next.
7. Click Finish.
8. Click Tools, then Account Settings, then Outgoing Server (SMTP).
9. Select Server and check the 'Use name and password' box, then click OK.
