I've always been taking photos, but just simple shooting at any occasions. My interest heightened when I started scuba diving in May 2007. I wanted to share with non-divers the beautiful creatures and colours that we see underwater, generate interest and potential new divers. I am a very new photographer, and I'm learning every time I'm in the water. I photographed a soft coral crab at Bunaken National Park in Manado, Indonesia during a photo shoot in December 2007 - Ocean Odyssey 2007 organized by Asian Diver Magazine, Singapore. That shot won 2 prizes - 1st prize in best shot category & 2nd prize in macro category.
Scuba diving is a hobby that does not require in born skills like GOLF (Yes, I have temporarily given up on that sport! Though I love it, I just don't get the results that I put in! haha..), when you're underwater you're in your own world and you forget everything - extermely therapeutic! It's never too late to learn!
