After 8 months of nominations and votes, we finally now know which blogs deserve to be called Brunei's Best Personal, Best Local Content, Best Photo, Best Lifestyle, Best Specialty, Wild-Card Blog, and Bruneian Blog of The Year! The Bruneian Blog of The Year - Kurapak
Congratulations to Kurapak, officially the Bruneian Blog of The Year!

After 2 weeks of public voting, Kurapak was once again triumphant, this time over the 5 most popular blogs around; Ranoadidas, Spiritual Garden, Arab Families, Brunei Fishing and Anakbrunei.

As expected, the competition for votes was fierce, with the bloggers campaigning on their blogs, and even taking to the streets. Ranoadidas took the lead for most of the first week, but eventually was beaten by the Kurapak crew towards the end of the voting phase.

Alin of Kurapak won the Bruneian Blog of The Year Trophy, an Acer Laptop from Concepts Commercial Suppliers, a year's advertisement subscription from DSTCom worth $2400, an iLuv i9200 Hi-Fi from Hi Max Trading & Services, $550 cash from Simpur, a night's stay in a Junior Suite, including breakfast for two at the Orchid Garden Hotel, and a one-hour massage at the Amanha Spa, $500 cash from Arab-Families.com, $300 cash and exclusive T-Shirt and Umbrella from Ranoadidas.com, and $100 cash and exclusive T-Shirt from Kurapak.com.

1st Runner-up Rano Iskandar of Ranoadidas.com won a 12MP Digital Video Camcorder from Concepts Commercial Suppliers, a night's stay in a Junior Suite, including breakfast for two at the Orchid Garden Hotel, and a 40-minute foot massage at the Amanha Spa.

2nd Runner-up Nonnie King of Spiritual Garden won a 12MP Digital Video Camcorder from Concepts Commercial Suppliers, a night's stay in a Junior Suite, including breakfast for two at the Orchid Garden Hotel, and a 30-minute scalp massage at the Amanha Spa.

After more than 10 days of public voting, Arab Families emerged as the winner beating 4 other popular specialty blogs; The Daily Brunei Resources, Bunny's Yummies, Foodie Tales, and Danurasana. Arab Families also claims the fifth spot in the final round of The Simpur Bloggies, The Bruneian Blog of The Year!

Nearly as tight as the previous two categories, voting was close between the top two, Arab Families and The Daily Brunei Resources, all throughout the voting phase, with the both of them separated by a familiar few votes at the end of every single day. In the end, Arab Families eventually won by four votes!

We received a record amount of votes this time round, at almost twice the number of that of the Best Personal Blog category! Votes were consistent and predictable throughout the first week, but things got exciting towards the end, with different blogs leading the race at different intervals, but Kurapak emerged as the winner in the end, receiving 40% of the public vote!
