DST Communications Sdn Bhd is a provider of world-class mobile communications services both for business and for the local and foreign communities of Brunei Darussalam.
Since its inception, it has grown from an AMPS type analogue telephone service provider to introducing GSM services (Global System for Mobile Communications), putting it on par with the world's top network operators and service providers. This was swiftly followed by the provision of international roaming facilities to more than 30 countries in four continents.
DSTCom's progress is also marked by the continued increase in our number of customers throughout Brunei Darussalam, and our own staff force - a base of close to 100,000 customers being served by more than 460 skilled and dedicated employees.
November 1997 marked another remarkable milestone for DSTCom, when we were awarded the ISO 9002 certification - a formal recognition of our quality management system. In September 1999, DSTCom launched a unique prepaid mobile service to complement our existing GSM service, thereby providing our customers with greater choice and value to suit their lifestyles and communications habits.

Formed on January 24, 2000, Kristal-ASTRO Sdn Bhd is a the sole operator of Brunei's multi-channel pay-television service, and is a joined venture between Kristal Sdn Bhd and Malaysia's MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd.
The 30 television and radio channels have been customised to ensure that all programmes adhere to Brunei's religious, cultural and social values. Subscribers will also have access to pay-per-view services, as well as a wide range of interactive services, such as home banking, home shopping and distance learning.
Subscribers receive the satellite service using the state-of-the-art Digital Multimedia System (DMS) - the same system introduced by ASTRO in Malaysia, and is one of the most advanced digital 'set-top boxes' of its kind.
The operations of Kristal-ASTRO will be backed by DST Group's expertise in the areas of marketing, sales, information technology and technical support.

Formed in October 2000, DST Multimedia Sdn Bhd is the first private licensed Internet Service Provider in Brunei Darussalam. DST Multimedia offers postpaid accounts (Pay As You Surf), prepaid cards (Surfkad), and lease line (eaccess) internet access services.
